But we go even further: we have set up a community specifically for Facility and Sustainability Managers, with the goal of helping both our customers and non-customers with their facility management challenges. We do this by connecting them with each other and brainstorming together to find solutions for various facility-related issues.

The story behind Sanaja

Sanaja Hygiene Services is a family business that emerged from the growing demand for high-quality hygiene solutions in sanitary facilities. In addition to quality, sustainability became an increasingly important pillar, and we noticed that there were very few providers who truly relieved customers of their concerns. This includes proactive communication, anticipating changes such as remote working, and delivering a service that always goes the extra mile.

With this mission, we founded Sanaja Hygiene Services. The name ‘Sanaja’ stands for ‘Sanitary Yes’ and is a tribute to Nas van Velden and Jaap Schilder, the founders of our parent company. Their initials form the basis of our name and underscore our roots as a family business.

A special detail is that Jaap Schilder’s grandson, Jacco Koning, now works as a hygiene advisor at Sanaja. He continues the family tradition by staying in daily contact with our customers and helping them achieve optimal hygiene.
